Perry's Emporium

Year: 2026

Industry: Jewelry

Perry’s Emporium has been Wilmington’s premier fine jewelry destination since Alan Perry opened the doors in 1991. Now a family business with Alan’s sons Josh and Jordan by his side, Perry’s has grown into the largest diamond jewelry retailer in southeast North Carolina. Their reputation is built on trust, craftsmanship, and a personal touch that big-box retailers simply can’t match.

A logo mark that captures the essence of tradition.

Perry’s had the history and the reputation — what they needed was a logo system that lived up to it.

The “PE” monogram set inside a notched oval cartouche became the centerpiece of the new mark. The overlapping letterforms create a sense of depth and sophistication, while the cartouche shape nods to the medallion traditions of classic fine jewelry brands. The mark strikes a balance between old-world elegance and clean, contemporary design.

Refining a crest with value more than money can buy.

Alongside the new logomark, I updated Perry’s existing heraldic crest, refining the linework and bringing it into alignment with the new logo system.

Two rampant lions flank a diamond at the center, a fitting centerpiece for a fine jeweler, topped with a crown and anchored by a ribbon bearing the founding year. The result is a complete logo system that feels worthy of their 30-plus year legacy.

“When I started the Perry’s rebrand, I knew I needed an artist who understood the value of the original brand, and knew how to honor that while bringing it into the present day. That’s tough to find. Thankfully I’d worked with Aidan in the past as a coworker, so I knew firsthand how talented and creative he was, but also that he has a trait many designers don’t: restraint. Aidan listened to what we needed, asked questions, and gave us exactly what we were looking for, without having to go through rounds and rounds of revisions. I could not more highly recommend working with Aidan for anything branding or design.”
